Mill Creek sold Alister Town Center Columbia in May of 2024. Mill Creek added to its Maryland portfolio with the acquisition of Island Club, a resort-style apartment community featuring 176 apartment homes in Columbia. Rebranded by Mill Creek as Alister Town Center Columbia, the community featured six two- and three-story wood-framed buildings and a leasing office/clubhouse. Mill Creek renovated common areas, amenities, and apartment interiors of the community, which was originally built in 1987.

Alister Town Center Columbia offered spacious one-, two- and three-bedroom homes ranging in square footage from 713 to 1,107. Community amenities included a resort-inspired swimming pool, clubhouse with resident lounge with business center, fitness center, dog park, playground, and car care center. Renovated apartment interiors featured stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, backsplashes, and updated cabinetry and fixtures. Select homes featured vinyl wood flooring, and all homes offer washers and dryers, walk-in closets, and private patios or balconies.

Situated across the street from Fairway Hills Golf Course and just west of Columbia Pike (U.S. Route 29), Alister Town Center Columbia was proximate to many of the city’s primary attractions. Two miles away, The Mall in Columbia was home to a bevy of local and national retailers, restaurants and entertainment options. Included was a Whole Foods, Apple, Nordstrom, Williams-Sonoma, Sephora, Bose, Lord & Taylor, Arhaus Furniture, Michael Kors, Lululemon Athletics and AMC Theatres. Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport was a 15-minute drive from the community. Interstate 95, U.S. Route 29 and Maryland Routes 100 and 32 were easily accessible as well.
