Vice President - Development
As Vice President of Development in North Texas, Mr. Schaetter is responsible for sourcing, entitling, designing, and capitalizing diverse urban multifamily communities across Dallas/Fort Worth. Since joining Mill Creek in 2015, Bart has been involved in the development and disposition of several Mill Creek’s North Texas communities totaling over 2,000 homes as of 2019.
Before joining Mill Creek, Mr. Schaetter began his development career at a Dallas-based national healthcare real estate firm. During his time there, he was part of the strategy and rollout of a programmatic senior housing development platform across Texas and into Georgia; leveraging data analytics and geospatial information to manage site selection and underwriting. Over the course of two years, the platform developed eight assisted living facilities totaling 659 homes and over $120 million in total project costs.
Bart is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and his Master of Real Estate degrees. In his personal time, he has gained his certification as a Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) Rescue Diver, and has dived several Caribbean islands. In addition to being well-caffeinated and likely listening to the latest podcast, Bart is a Young Gun Real Estate Council member and breakfast group co-leader, a member of the Aggie Real Estate Network, Urban Land Institute (ULI), and Oak Lawn Committee. He is currently in ULI North Texas’ Center for Leadership 2019 class.
