Christopher Burtner

North Florida

Christopher Burtner serves as Vice President of Development for the North Florida region. His responsibilities include managing all aspects of the development process, from site acquisition through entitlements, design, permitting, construction and stabilization of Mill Creek communities.

Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Burtner was Acquisitions Manager for Timbers Company, a luxury resort developer, where he supported acquisition and development efforts for resort and condominium development projects throughout the United States and Caribbean. At Timbers, Mr. Burtner also supported predevelopment and capital markets efforts for Hokuala, a 450-acre oceanfront resort in Kauai, Hawaii and the firm’s establishment of a programmatic joint venture with a leading real estate private equity investor.

Prior to Timbers, Mr. Burtner worked on the office investment sales team at Eastdil Secured in San Francisco and at CP Group (formerly Crocker Partners) in Miami and has been involved in $3.0 billion of office transactions. Mr. Burtner started his career at Integra Investments, a Miami-based condominium, multifamily and mixed-use developer.

Mr. Burtner holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Central Florida.
