Press Release

Denver Apartments to Receive Substantial Upgrades to Amenities, Apartment Interiors

DENVER – March 31, 2015 – Mill Creek Residential, a leading multifamily developer, investor and operator specializing in premier apartment communities across the U.S., today announced the start of renovations to the Heritage Creek apartment community, which features 324 apartment homes, in the Denver metro area.

As a follow up to its multi-million dollar acquisition of the community, Mill Creek Residential is investing in comprehensive upgrades to the community’s amenities and apartment interiors to better fit its upscale, thriving location. Located in the premier Cherry Creek neighborhood of Denver, Heritage Creek offers the walkable and public-transportation-friendly lifestyle today’s working professionals are seeking.

“Denver is one of our highest performing markets,” said Steve Prochnow, vice president of Texas, Colorado and Pacific Northwest Operations for Mill Creek. “Heritage Creek presents an excellent opportunity to complete upgrades that will significantly increase value to residents, the neighborhood and our investment partners.”

Mill Creek Residential plans to transform Heritage Creek’s clubhouse, update the pool area, install new, high-end fitness equipment and improve the landscaping and outdoor lighting package. Each apartment home will receive upgrades to kitchen and bath cabinetry, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and modern lighting and plumbing packages.

The upgrades will bring the community in line with its popular location. Heritage Creek is in the midst of an active, walkable neighborhood with direct access to the Cherry Creek Athletic Club, the Cherry Creek Trail and several grocery stores. Target, King Soopers and Sam’s No. 3 are all within walking distance of the Cherry Creek apartments.

Also adjacent to the community is Colorado Boulevard, which is home to numerous popular shopping, dining, and entertainment destinations, including Whole Foods, Nordstrom Rack and Burns Park. In addition, Heritage Creek is a five-minute drive from the Cherry Creek Shopping Center, the premier high-end shopping center in Denver, and just 15 minutes from downtown Denver.

“This is the kind of location today’s renters expect out of a luxury apartment community, where they can live, work and play all within a few miles,” Prochnow said. “With the upgrades, Heritage Creek will offer lifestyle-enhancing amenities and will help create a community that our residents will be proud to call home.”

The community’s current lifestyle-enhancing amenities include a resort-style pool, fitness studio, bicycle rentals, dog park, pet-grooming station, and a Jacuzzi/spa. The apartment homes feature 9-foot or higher ceilings, fireplaces, walk-in closets, in-home washers and dryers and walk-in closets.

Including Heritage Creek, Mill Creek Residential now owns and operates 511 apartment homes, with an additional 827 in development, in the Denver metro area.
