220 Luxury Apartment Homes to Add in Booming Los Angeles-area Neighborhood

 

GLENDALE, Calif. – Jan. 6, 2016 – Mill Creek Residential, a leading multifamily investor and operator specializing in premier apartment communities across the U.S., today announced it has broken ground on The Griffith Apartments, its newest community in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

The luxury community, featuring 220 apartment homes, is situated amongst a burgeoning portion of Glendale that is rapidly gaining vibrancy with each new development. Located at 435 West Los Feliz Road, the community sits in close proximity to numerous professional jobs within Glendale, while nearby thoroughfares Interstate-5 and Glendale Freeway offer residents access to job opportunities throughout the metro area.

Several medical centers also are among Glendale’s diverse employment base. The community is flanked by West Los Feliz Road to the south, Gardena Street to the east and Fernando Court to the north. The highly walkable area features a variety of local and national retailers, vast cuisine options and various transit outlets, including the Glendale Metrolink Station, which is less than a half-mile from the community.

Prominent national retailers within walking distance include Starbucks, Best Buy, Wells Fargo, Costco and T-Mobile. Los Feliz Golf Course is about a half-mile to the southwest of the community, and nearby restaurants Tam O’Shanter, The Morrison and the Village Bakery and Café offer local flare. Nightlife options in close proximity include Glendale Tap, The Griffin, Bigfoot Lounge and Americana.

The Griffith Apartments will feature five stories of wood-framed apartment homes and a six-story above-grade parking garage. The community will consist of studio, 1- and 2-bedroom apartment homes, and a 3-bedroom home, with loft options available. Homes will be equipped with a variety of upmarket amenities, such as wood plank-style flooring, stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, custom cabinetry and state-of-the-art kitchen and bath fixtures. Select homes will contain a linen closet, walk-in closet and private balcony.

Community amenities will include a club-quality fitness center, club recreation room, business center, outdoor paseo, sky deck and resort-inspired pool flanked by lavish landscaping. The pet-friendly grounds also will include an onsite dog park.

Including The Griffith Apartments, Mill Creek owns and operates 713 apartment homes, and has begun construction on more than 596 additional apartments, in Southern California.
