ATLANTA – May 24, 2016 – Mill Creek Residential, a leading multifamily investor and operator specializing in premier apartment communities across the U.S., announces plans for continued expansion in Atlanta’s flourishing Vinings neighborhood, with official closure on Modera by Mill Creek – Vinings, a soon-to-debut mixed-use community purchased from Pope & Land Enterprises.
With the recent transformation of Atlanta’s Cumberland neighborhood, boasting the relocation of the Atlanta Braves SunTrust Park and recently named by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as Atlanta’s area code with the largest millennial growth in the city, Modera by Mill Creek – Vinings’ residential and retail outposts within steps of the revitalized community.
Located at 3205 Cumberland Boulevard and designed in collaboration with Lord Aeck Sargent, Modera by Mill Creek – Vinings is nestled above 3.5 acres of land overlooking a tranquil pond at the start of the Silver Comet Trail. Promoting an active, walkable lifestyle, residents and visitors can enjoy the public trail and venture along the boardwalk surrounding the pond. Upon completion, the community will deliver a multifaceted living experience and expansive views, while featuring an active promenade and beautifully designed event and restaurant space set overlooking the pond. The completed development will introduce a premier mixed-use, community-driven environment to the Cumberland area. In addition to amenity-rich residences and innovative retail concepts, the community will also feature a chef-driven restaurant concept to further activate the neighborhood.
Modera by Mill Creek – Vinings broke ground in mid-May, with pre-leasing slated for summer 2017, and initial move-ins targeting fall 2017. The community will feature 269 luxury apartment homes overlooking the water and extending six stories above below grade parking.
“Our development team is passionate about finding a unique story and vision for each project and focusing on design that complements the respective communities,” expresses Chad DuBeau, Senior Managing Director for Mill Creek’s Atlanta and North Florida properties. “We are excited to realize the future of Mill Creek communities in Atlanta.”
For its Modera by Mill Creek communities, Mill Creek targets walkable locations that allow for active and social lifestyles, highlighting every day conveniences for residents. As the first apartment homes developer in Atlanta to house an organic grocery store on the ground floor – Sprouts at the Modera Morningside location – Mill Creek continues to push the envelope in Atlanta as it expands, evolves and creates an experiential style of living.
