New Role Emphasizes Mill Creek’s Commitment to Promote Associates From Within
DALLAS – Sept. 25, 2018 – Mill Creek Residential, a leading multifamily investor, builder and operator specializing in premier apartment communities across the U.S., today announced it has promoted Steve Prochnow to Senior Vice President of Property Management.
Prochnow, who previously held the position of Vice President of Property Management, started in his new role effective Sept. 10. The promotion provides an increased leadership role for Prochnow, who will continue to report to Chief Operations Officer Michael M. Hefley.
“Steve’s leadership qualities and expertise in maximizing community value through efficient multifamily operations make him a natural fit for his new position,” Hefley said. “We believe his expertise, vast industry knowledge, strong communication skills and track record of producing superior results will be an undeniable asset as Mill Creek continues to grow.”
Prochnow’s promotion underscores Mill Creek Residential’s commitment to promoting high performing associates from within. As Senior Vice President of Property Operations, Prochnow will be responsible for the day-to-day operating performance of the company’s communities, assisting with community transactions and pursuing operational goals designed to increase the value of the company’s communities.
Also a member of Mill Creek’s Audit and Administrative Committee, Prochnow initially joined the company in 2012 as a regional manager in Dallas. He was quickly promoted to Vice President of Property Management for the Texas, Mountain and Pacific Northwest regions.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to grow within one of the apartment industry’s premier companies and look forward to helping Mill Creek continue to produce industry-leading results,” Prochnow said. “Mill Creek truly values its associates and has built a team that is unmatched in its experience and talent. I’m excited for what the future holds at the company.”
Prior to joining Mill Creek, Prochnow served as a regional director for Verde Realty, where he was responsible for managing the operational activities of a portfolio of assets in Texas. Previously, Prochnow worked as a regional director for PRG Real Estate, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of a large, multi-state portfolio.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Prochnow holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration in marketing. He later earned a Masters of Real Estate from the University of Texas – Arlington.
