Mill Creek’s Inaugural Month of Service Focuses on Homelessness

BOCA RATON, Fla. – July 1, 2023 – Mill Creek Residential, a leading developer, owner-operator, and investment manager specializing in premier rental housing across the U.S., today announced the company accomplished its first-ever Month of Service. This year, the month was focused on addressing homelessness. As part of the June initiative, Mill Creek associates from coast to coast volunteered in various ways to tackle the growing issue in local communities.

All efforts were geared towards assisting those experiencing homelessness. A total of 734 Mill Creek associates volunteered during the month, serving approximately 4,089 hours for 28 different charitable organizations including food banks, homeless shelters, community support services, and even hands-on revitalization and construction projects across the country. The focus of Mill Creek’s annual Month of Service will rotate on a yearly basis.

In addition to Mill Creek’s annual Month of Service, the company also provides each associate with one (1) paid day off each year to volunteer for personal causes they care deeply about. This is outside of the Month of Service and allows Mill Creek associates to take an entire day to volunteer for a charity of their choice.
