Situated at 8215 SW 72nd Avenue, the community benefited from a prime location and was in close proximity to the major thoroughfares of the city, including U.S. 1, Palmetto Express Way and Snapper Creek Expressway. The highways provided expedient access to many professional opportunities throughout the Miami metropolitan area, and along the eastern seaboard. The community was within walking distance to the Dadeland North Metrorail station. Major employers in the immediate area included Baptist Health (2.3 miles from the community) and the University of Miami, which is less than four miles to the northeast.

The neighborhood and surrounding area featured an array of entertainment options, including Downtown Dadeland, Dadeland Mall, Pinecrest Gardens, American Airlines Arena and Marlins Park.
