Mill Creek sold Modera Shepherd in December of 2018. Modera Shepherd was a pedestrian-friendly apartment community located in the popular Rice Military/Washington Corridor area. The community, featured 245 apartment homes in a six-story midrise, and was situated within minutes of the thriving Central Business District.

Modera Shepherd offered studio, one-, and two-bedroom homes ranging in square footage from 660 to 1,535 and contained 2.5 levels of subterranean parking. Community amenities included a club-quality fitness studio, outdoor swimming pool, sky lounge, pet spa, clubhouse, conference room, cyber café, game room, and self-serve package lockers. Apartment interiors were equipped with wood plank-style flooring, granite countertops, 9-foot ceilings, stainless-steel appliances, custom cabinetry, walk-in closets and upgraded fixtures.

Previously situated at 611 Shepherd Drive, the community benefited from a prime location in the vibrant Rice Military area, just south of Washington Corridor. The site was surrounded by a wide-ranging mix of restaurants and bars and provides near-direct access to employment and entertainment opportunities. Memorial Drive, the area’s key thoroughfare, was located less than a mile south of the community. Midtown, home to many dining, entertainment and public transportation options, is about two miles east.
