Bill MacDonald, a founding partner, is Mill Creek’s Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President. Prior to his role as CEO, Mr. MacDonald served as Chief Investment Officer and President with overall responsibility for all development, construction, acquisition and market research activity. Mill Creek’s current pipeline and developed rental communities has a total capitalization of over $14 billion.   

Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. MacDonald served as Executive Managing Director of the Eastern United States for Trammell Crow Residential (TCR). During his tenure, his divisions developed more than 40,000 units with a total capitalization of over $5 billion.  Prior to his role as an EMD, Mr. MacDonald served as the Chief Financial Officer of Trammell Crow Residential for the South Florida Division. Prior to joining TCR, Mr. MacDonald was a Senior Vice President for a private real estate development company in Connecticut. 

Mr. MacDonald received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Maryland and his Master of Business Administration from the Columbia Graduate School of Business. Mr. MacDonald is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), the former Counselor to the five Multifamily Councils at the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and is currently a Governing Trustee at ULI.
