John Derevjanik (“JD”) serves as Vice President of Asset Management overseeing Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia. Mr. Derevjanik holds asset management responsibilities within a blended portfolio of new development and value-add communities across his respective regions. His primary responsibility is to maximize community performance and drive investment value by working with development, acquisitions, and property operations divisions to devise, implement, and execute bespoke asset strategies.

Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Derevjanik served as Vice President of Asset Management with Tysons Corner based Middleburg Communities where he was responsible for the financial performance of a 5,000 unit multifamily portfolio located throughout the Southeast US. Mr. Derevjanik also served as the Asset Manager at Bonaventure Realty Group overseeing their 22 community portfolio throughout the State of Virginia. He has deep experience with all manner of multifamily assets including New Construction, LIHTC, Mixed-Use, and Substantial Rehab.

Mr. Derevjanik received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Binghamton University and he is an active member of the Urban Land Institute.
