John Harkey serves as Senior Vice President of Asset Management covering the entire eastern portfolio with responsibilities for the Florida, Atlanta, Boston, Carolinas, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast regions.

Mr. Harkey holds asset management responsibilities within a blended portfolio of new development, value-add and single-family rental assets across his respective regions. His primary responsibility is to maximize property performance and drive investment value by working with development, acquisition and property management divisions to implement and execute on asset strategy.

Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Harkey served as Director of Real Estate at Greystar with asset management responsibilities across the domestic owned asset portfolio and European holdings in the United Kingdom and Netherlands. He also served as an Investment Associate with Camden Property Trust with acquisition and development responsibilities across the Southeast region. Mr. Harkey received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Florida. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and Georgia Apartment Association (GAA).
