Maria Masi

Maria Masi serves as Senior Managing Director of Development of Mill Creek’s New Jersey office. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the development process, including site selection and acquisition, due diligence, entitlements, design, financing, and disposition in the New York and New Jersey regions.

Prior to joining Mill Creek, Ms. Masi was Senior Vice President of Development for Brookfield Properties where she oversaw Brookfield’s Northeast multifamily development activities. Ms. Masi was responsible for over $2.6 billion of ground-up development projects characterized by their design excellence, high quality of construction, innovative placemaking, and attractive returns.

Before Brookfield, Ms. Masi worked at New York residential development firms Rose Associates Inc., Avalon Bay Communities, and Forest City Ratner Companies, where she led complex real estate projects and oversaw development teams working on some of these companies’ largest developments. In these roles, she managed all phases of the development process, including transaction due diligence, site acquisition, design, finance, entitlements, construction, and marketing.

Throughout her career, Ms. Masi has been directly involved in the development of over $5.5 million square feet of mixed-use developments with a total capitalization in excess of $3.3 billion.

Ms. Masi received a Master’s in Real Estate and Urban Development from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a CPA degree from the School of Economic Sciences of the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina. She studied Architecture at the Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires, School of Architecture, Design and Urbanism.
