Mark Sanford serves as Vice President of Development for the Arizona region. He is responsible for managing all aspects of the development process including site acquisition, due diligence, entitlements, design, financing, and dispositions.

Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Sanford was a Director of Development for The Athens Group in Phoenix, Arizona. During his time at Athens, he was responsible for all aspects of development and worked on various luxury resorts, urban hotels and residential projects across the country.

Mr. Sanford began his real estate career with Parkway Properties, Inc. (now Cousins Properties) where he managed the day-to-day operations, leasing, construction, design and development activity for an award-winning Class A office portfolio. During his time with Parkway, he also managed the acquisition, disposition and development of over 1.5 million square feet of office properties.

Mr. Sanford graduated from Delta State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He also holds an FAA Private Pilot Certificate. Mr. Sanford is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and has served in various leadership positions with the Arizona District Council.
