Michael Ellis serves as Senior Vice President of Capital Markets for Mill Creek Residential and is responsible for capital raising and capital formation throughout the U.S., including sourcing, structuring, analyzing and closing joint venture equity for new developments and acquisitions. Since joining Mill Creek in 2022, Mr. Ellis has helped capitalize 38 development projects totaling more than 12,000 homes and over $2.1 billion in JV equity. Of those projects, 21 were capitalized by new joint venture partners that Mr. Ellis helped identify, structure, and close.

Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Ellis spent three years with PGIM Real Estate participating in loan originations nationally, totaling $2.5 billion, across multifamily, office, retail, student housing and industrial assets. During this period, Mr. Ellis assisted with all aspects of the loan origination process, including cash flow modeling and evaluation of new investment opportunities, initial structuring, risk analysis, due diligence and transaction execution functions. Michael also spent time on the Borrower Response Team executing loan workouts on distressed office and retail assets.

Mr. Ellis received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Iowa State.
