Ryan Barker serves as Managing Director of Development for Utah and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the development process, including site acquisition, design, entitlements, financing, due diligence, and disposition for Mill Creek communities.

Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Barker served as Managing Director for Alliance Residential and served in similar roles for PEG Companies and Wood Partners during his multifamily-centric career.

Mr. Barker has a deep-rooted career in Utah real estate development, having been responsible for the development of numerous communities along the Wasatch Front. Mr. Barker’s activity in recruiting development to Utah at a national level led him to a unique role as the appointed private lead for the Salt Lake City Convention Hotel. He has created strategic partnerships with local and national development interests and navigated a several-year process to secure a $100M sales tax incentive that helped make the Salt Lake City Convention Hotel a reality. The project created a strong foundational network for Mr. Barker across the public and private Salt Lake real estate network.

Mr. Barker received a Master of Real Estate Development from The University of Southern California and is a graduate of The University of Utah.
