Steve Hillebrand serves as Managing Director of Development in Charlotte, North Carolina. His responsibilities include managing all aspects of the development process, including site acquisition, due diligence, entitlements, design, financing and disposition of Mill Creek communities. Since 2008, Mr. Hillebrand has participated in more than $2 billion of multifamily development.

Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Hillebrand served as Managing Vice President of Development for The Michaels Organization. During his time at The Michaels Organization, he worked on over $1 billion of multifamily and student housing assets across the United States, including Class A Market Rate, Off Campus Student Housing and On Campus Student Housing projects.

Prior to joining The Michaels Organization, Mr. Hillebrand served in multi-capacities for nationwide student housing firm based in Charlotte helping to develop, construct and operate student housing assets across 20+ states. Mr. Hillebrand has a proven track record in development, pre-construction and project management.

Mr. Hillebrand received a Bachelor of Arts from Elon University.
