Jim Beckner, Jr. serves as Vice President of Development in Nashville, Tennessee. His responsibilities include assisting in each facet of the development process, including new development opportunities, due diligence, entitlements, design, financing, and dispositions. Since 2012, Mr. Beckner has participated in more than $2.0 billion of commercial real estate transactions concentrated in lending, acquisitions, corporate finance, and mixed-use development.

Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Beckner was a Project Manager of Development and Construction for Stellar Management in New York, New York. During his time at Stellar, Jim worked on OTTO Greenpoint, 197-unit, mixed-use residential development in the Greenpoint neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York. OTTO Greenpoint was Stellar’s first ground up development and included an expansive rooftop deck overlooking Manhattan as well as nearly 20,000 SF of ground floor retail space.

Prior to joining Stellar Management, Jim worked acquisitions and corporate finance with New York REIT, and property-level CMBS and balance sheet loans with Citigroup in the New York headquarters.

Mr. Beckner graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics Finance.
