Mill Creek Starts Lease-up of Newest Atlanta Apartments

Press Release

Modera Morningside offers 300 apartments, 32,500 square feet of retail space

ATLANTA – June 30, 2015 – Mill Creek Residential, a leading multifamily developer, investor and operator specializing in premier apartment communities across the U.S., today announced the start of apartment leasing at its newest mixed-use community in Atlanta – Modera Morningside.

Modera Morningside, which features 300 apartment homes and more than 32,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space, including a Sprouts organic grocery store, is located in the growing Morningside neighborhood within minutes of Midtown Atlanta.

“Modera Morningside will not only add much needed Class A housing, but also direct access to Sprouts and the many shopping destinations in the growing Morningside/Lenox Park neighborhood,” said Dionne Van Druff, vice president of operations for Mill Creek Residential. “Several high profile retailers in addition to Sprouts have already expressed interest in opening new locations at the community, which has the amenities and features today’s residents expect from an apartment home.”

In addition to offering a walkable living experience with on-site shopping, Modera Morningside will feature a fitness center with Yoga studio and juice bar, a sky lounge with a demo kitchen, three courtyards and a resort-style pool with outdoor cabanas. Inside the apartment homes, residents will enjoy high-end features, including wood-plank style flooring, quartz countertops, custom cabinetry and large walk-in closets.

Among the nearby neighborhood amenities within a short drive of the community are a host of local restaurants and retailers, and the Lindbergh Marta Rail Station, which provides easy access to all major hubs, including Midtown, Downtown and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Atlanta’s beltline is within biking distance, as are an abundance of scenic hiking trails.

Also in close proximity to the community are Virginia Highlands, Lenox Square, Phipps Plaza and Atlantic Station. The Woodruff Arts Center, which is home to High Museum of Art and Alliance Theatre, and the historic Piedmont Park, which is a 189-acre urban park, also are within blocks. In addition to hosting a number of outdoor sports facilities, Piedmont Park offers an off-leash dog park, picnic areas, walking and running paths and the Family Aquatic Center. The park is home to a number of events and celebrations, including The Dogwood Festival, Screen on the Green and Music Midtown.
